PANDEMIC RESPONSE AND PROTOCOLS

With the pressing issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, business establishments are compelled to make necessary adjustments to cope with the current situation. To maintain health and safety in their operations, PCEAS, Inc. as a training, research, and consultancy firm is also adapting by implementing necessary protocols and guidelines for office and field works to ensure the safety of its staff, clients, consultants, visitors, and other stakeholders.
PCEAS Office
After relocating to its new office in Los Banos, Laguna last August 2020, the use of QR code was implemented in the office for both staff and visitors in compliance with the municipal ordinance. For those who wish to personally visit the office, they are required to present their Los Banos-recognized QR Code and wear face mask and face shield before being allowed to enter the building. Staff and visitors are also required to wear their facemask and maintain social distancing at all times while inside office premises. The staff are also discouraged to take public transportation that requires more than 30 minutes inside a closed vehicle to lower the chance of putting their family and officemates at risk of contracting the virus.
Field work and Visit to Other Offices
Consultants and staff who need to visit project sites and various offices in the conduct of their work are provided with allowances to cover transportation, safety, and health necessities such as RT-PCR tests. The company also adheres to protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Local Government Units (LGUs) who cover the specific project sites by securing the required medical tests and health certificates along with proper communication with the locality through letters and endorsements from the project proponents.
Meetings
Various online platforms are being utilized by PCEAS in organizing meetings between its administration, staff, consultants and clients. The company is flexible in allowing its staff to work from home when reporting to the office puts them at risk of contracting the virus. Meetings with its stakeholders are also done mostly online. In cases where face-to-face meetings are needed, the company coordinates with proper authorities such as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Local Government Units (LGUs) to secure the necessary permits and ensure that safety and health protocols will be followed during the event.
Trainings, Seminars, and Conferences
Organizing trainings, seminars, and conferences also moved to online platforms. Invitations, registration, attendance, and evaluation are all done online. Hard and soft copies of Certificates of Completion and Attendance are sent to the participants via courier or by sending to their email addresses.
