Basic Pollution Control Officer & Managing Head Training
The Philippine Center for Environmental Awareness and Sustainability (PCEAS), Inc. is a recognized training organization pursuant to Section 13 of the DAO 2014-02 Revised Guidelines for Pollution Control Officer Accreditation with Certificate of Recognition COR No. 2025-01-R, that will offer the 40-hour training for Pollution Control Officers and Managing Head.
OBJECTIVE OF TRAINING
This training aims to develop/enhance the knowledge of Pollution Control Officers (PCOs) on compliance with environmental laws and environmental permitting
At the end of the 40-hour accredited training course for PCOs, the participants shall have:
- Actively participated in all the activities of the training course;
- Have enhanced network of partners and colleague PCOs
- Defined the Framework of the Environmental Regulations in the Philippines
- Discussed the Philippine Environmental laws, their permitting and compliance requirements
Qualification Requirements
Managing Head (MH)
Basic Qualification of PCO for Category A and B Establishments
- Filipino Citizen, legal age, mentally and physically healthy and of good moral character;
- Must be the highest Executive Officer of the establishment. This includes one of the following positions (as applicable):
- President
- General Manager
- Owner
- Factory / Plant Manager
- Managing Director
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
- Local Chief Executive
Pollution Control Officer (PCO)
Basic Qualification of PCO for Category A and B Establishments
- Filipino Citizen, legal age, mentally and physically healthy and of good moral character;
- Full-time employee of the establishment where he/she is being appointed/designated as PCO
- Has completed the Basic PCO Training Course by an EMB recognized training institution within the last three (3) years
PCO Qualification for Category A Establishment
- Graduate of any related technical course; or
- Has at least reached third year in tertiary education; and
- Has been with the establishment for at least three (3) years in a supervisory position or in a responsible position or equivalent experience
PCO Qualification for Category B Establishment
- Must be a licensed Engineer/Chemist with at least two (2) years relevant experience in Environmental Management; or
- Professional in the field of Engineering or Physical and Natural Sciences with at least three (3) years relevant experience in Environmental Management; or
- Professional of other appropriate discipline with at least five (5) years relevant experience in environmental management
